Refurbishment and Upgrading of Existing Plants
Benmic can evaluate existing sites, help clients to review performance and determine the alternatives for upgrading. Whether upgrading is being planned to increase capacity, reduce milling costs or enhance quality, Benmic can assist.

Roll Refluting
Benmic has a dedicated roll refurbishment cell. This cell is equipped with machines that are built specifically for roll refurbishment, and Benmic machine operators are fully trained and qualified to operate them. This specialisation ensures rolls are serviced to precise specifications which means that feed milling efficiency is optimised.

Machines in the cell include a large capacity centre lathe (1100mm swing 5000mm between centres) for semi-finishing of roll surfaces and machining of roll shafts, a cylindrical grinder capable of grinding rolls up to 610mm diameter and 1500mm long and a purpose built fluter of the same capacity as the grinder.

Rolls are progressed from one machine to the next by means of an overhead monorail. This ensures rolls are handled carefully and avoids the risk of damage during refurbishment.

Most roll sizes can be handled in the refluting cell, and Benmic prides itself on prompt turn-around and cost competitiveness.

Spare Parts
Benmic offers spare parts for all systems supplied by Benmic, as well as spares for systems supplied by others. Hammers and screens can be manufactured to suit most mills. Benmic can supply new rolls for roller mills, and of course offers a comprehensive roll refluting service.
